    How does the site work?

    Using the site couldn’t be easier and registration is free!!!

    1.  Simply Click on the registration button at the top left and fill in your details.
    2.  Using our search tool, select the type of property and location you are looking for. (if you wish to widen your search      just leave the required field as the default)
    3.  View the properties currently for auction that meet your requirement (you will see that time remaining for the auction      and the current bid price on the right)
    4.  Start bidding.
    5.  Once you have successfully won the auction, you will be asked to contact and pay the owner before they send you      directions and key collection details.

    Will it cost me to use bidabooking.com?

    If you are a holiday rental owner looking to add your property into an auction on bidabooking.com you will not be charged for listing it. However we will collect an 8% fee on the final sale price if you are successful in selling your property on our site. If you choose to use the BuyNow option then the fee will be 10% of your BuyNow Price.

    Bidding on properties listed on bidabooking.com is completely free you will not be charged for using the site. However you will be liable to pay any costs incurred if you are successful at winning an auction.

    I’ve changed my email address how do I update it on bidabooking.com?

    Log into your personal area and go to edit my profile. Here you can update any of your personal details.

    I’ve forgotten my password, how can I log in?

    Enter your username, and click on forgotten password. An email will be sent to you with a temporary password so that you can log in and reset your password to something you remember.

    I have forgotten my username, how can I log in?

    Email info@bidabooking.com and we will verify your username for you. We do not have access to your password to ensure that no one else can gain access to your account. If you have forgotten your password as well then you will need to click on the forgotten password link and a temporary password will beemailed to the email account you gave us upon registration.

    My holiday rental property is in a destination that bidabooking.com is not currently listing. Can I load it?

    This is not a problem. Bidabooking.com is a worldwide service. If you cannot find the location of your holiday rental in our current database, you can free type the country, region and/or resort in the upload my property form and we will add it to our search menu.

    Why can’t I get my photo’s to upload?

    All uploaded photos need to be in JPEG, GIF or PNG format.
    Avoid special symbols like /,(),",',\, etc. in the name of your image to upload
    Avoid large image sizes (preferably max size 800x600)
    You may only load a maximum of 4 photos per property form.

    How do I amend the available dates in my auction listing?

    If you wish to list your holiday rental into a new auction for different availability dates, go to your personal area, click on ‘view properties I have loaded’ select which the holiday rental you wish to amend from the list and click on the edit button. This is located next to the buy button under the time clock on the bottom lefthand side. Scroll to the date section and amend as you wish. Click through the next two steps before clicking the modify button at the bottom of the page.

    How do I modify my holiday rental details?

    Once in your personal area, click on ‘view properties I have loaded’ select the holiday rental listing you wish to modify from the list and click on the edit button. This is located next to the buy button under the time clock on the lefthand side. Amend the areas you wish to change by following the same steps as when you uploaded your holiday rental, before clicking the modify button at the bottom of the page.

    How do I guarantee I receive a minimum amount for my holiday rental?

    We know you would rather book yourholiday rental out for a set amount opposed to leaving it sitting empty, bringing no income.

    However we also know that booking out your holiday rental costs you money. Therefore we offer you the option of s a reserve price to ensure that you do not allow your holiday rentalto sell for anything less than the minimum amount you can afford.

    How to I set the BuyNow Price option after I have entered my holiday rental details?

    To turn on the BuyNow option, log into your personal area and click on ‘view properties I have loaded’ select the correct holiday rental from your list and click the buy button under the time clock on the left hand side.

    What if someone selects the BuyNow price?

    By selecting the BuyNow price the bidder is prepared to pay the amount you have specified. This means your holiday rental will be removed from auction and the bidder will pay the full asking price. In the event that the auction bids are already equal to or more than your BuyNow price this option will become invalid and will be removed. In the event it is selected and the auction bids are below your BuyNow Price your auction will be terminated and the sale will be awarded to the bidder who selected BuyNow.

    How do I restart an expired auction?

    Once logged into your personal area click on the ‘view properties I have loaded’ select the property you wish to restart and click on the clock on the left hand side. You may then choose how long your new auction will run for and what date you would like the new auction to start

    How do I know if the person bidding is reliable?

    We run a rating system for all registered bidders on bidabooking.com. Every time they make a purchase using our site they will be rated by the holiday rental owner they purchased from. Both their rating and any comments made about them can be viewed from your personal area. Click on the link to “view properties I have added”. Scroll down to the holiday rental that has bids and you will see this highlighted in pink. By clicking this a pop up box will appear giving full details of all bidders currently competing for your holiday rental.

    Why can I not view the ratings on an expired auction?

    You will only be able to view comments on bidders when you auction lisitng is live.

    How do I collect payment for my holiday rental if I sell it?

    You can choose what methods of payment you will accept. Bidabooking.com facilitates paypal to make this process simply, straight forward and secure for you. However if you wish to collect payment through other methods such as bank transfer or cheque you may do so. We provide you with a free type text area on your lisitng to specify your preferred payment methods. On completion of the auction and payment of your fee to bidabooking.com will releasecontact information for the auction winner by email leaving you free to contact the winner directly to arrange your payment collection.

    Do you charge VAT on your fees?

    At the current time Bidabooking.com does not charge VAT on its fees.

    How do you market your site and my lisitings?

    Bidabooking,com has a marketing strategy that targets both online and offline channels. All marketing activities are designed to generate more visitors to our site and to your listings. Marketing channels include but are not limited to Social Media and online marketing, participation in online forums and discussions, PR campaigns with the national media and Search engine advertising and optimisation including the optimisation of individual listings.     How can I see what I have bid on?

    Log into your personal area and click on view history. All previous bids you have placed will be recorded here for your reference.

    How can I see what I am currently bidding on?

    Log into your personal area and click on view current. This will display all holiday rentals you are currently bidding on.

    I have a question about the holiday rental listing I’m bidding on / want to bid on?

    At the bottom of the property detail page is the property owners feedback box. On the left is a link for you to email any question you may have prior to purchasing the holiday rental. This will open up your email account (normally outlook) and your question will be forwarded directly to the property owner asking them to respond.

    How do I know the holiday rental owner is reliable and telling the truth?

    We have a rating system in place so that all previous bidders can rate the holiday rental and the owner. This information is listed at the bottom of the property details page and is a star rating.1 – 5. In addition you can view the comments that people have made about the holiday rental or its owner by clicking the link on this section entitled ‘view comments about this seller’.

    What’s the difference between placing a bid and selecting the BuyNow option?

    When you place a bid you are making an offer on a holiday rentalfor what you think it’s worth and what you are prepared to pay. By selecting the BuyNow option you are committing to buying that holiday rental for the price specified by the owner. This option will guarantee the Holiday Rental is yours for that duration at that price, and will remove the holiday rental listing from auction meaning no one else can beat you to it.

    How do I pay for my holiday rental once I have won an auction?

    Once you have won the holiday rental in auction, you will receive an email with the holiday rental owners contact information and preferred method of payment. A similar email will be sent to the owner with your contact information. It is then the responsibility of you and the owner to settle payment directly. Bidabooking.com does not take or hold payments for holiday rentals listed on its site.

    Do you offer anything other than holiday rentals?

    Bidabooking.com works with a range of property managers and companies to provide you with the very best private accommodation. This may include guesthouses, B&B’s or resort accommodation.
